How the grace of God is manifested and how to achieve it
The grace of God is the quality that God gives to men. The grace of God is the gift, a gift that transcends the natural, and is undeserved, God is pleased to give. Beyond the grace of salvation is the power to do what you would be unable to do in your own strength, it is God’s way of endowing believers with talents and abilities that reflect the power of God, not the power of the men.
It is the essence of God in the believer, it is the magnificent, it is the extraordinary, it is what is impossible for man, but for God it is possible, that place where it is clothed with a unique power.
The grace of God is that which is freely given by the heavenly God, causes pleasure, delight, and gives beauty to the personality, acts and words are transformed by the grace of God. The one who possesses the grace of God will transmit around him what many do not know how to define, what makes him unique, what causes the desire to be with that person, to spend hours talking with that person, that makes him the grace of God.
The grace of God is manifested in the way God uses believers to bring healing to the sick, set captives free, cast out demons, it is by grace that this is possible. When you are what you could never be with your strength it is because of the manifestation of God’s grace in your life.
God’s grace is manifested when you have charisma, attract God’s blessing and impart it around you. When grace enters your life, it is a greater, unique and magnificent power that God unleashes so that you may be an instrument in the kingdom, and not glorify yourselves, but be all glory to Him.
It is the glow that God puts on the person, and that makes him admirable, peaceful, even if he does not have an attractive physique, that inner glow, that makes him beautiful inside, that radiates him on the outside and makes him affectionate, that makes him unique , which is the grace of God, to have the ability to radiate in all the places where it reaches, because it is well known that in his life he is God. This is the manifestation of God’s grace.
Grace is the magnet that God gives a person to become a magnet, with the purpose of attracting God’s blessing to his life, and having favor around him, from all the people who come close. It is the extraordinary path that God places in the believer’s life to fill him with power, pleasure, dominion, faith, conditions…
How to get the grace of God
How can you enter into the treasures of God’s grace? Those who have faith; as we read in Romans 5:1-2, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and glory in hope of the glory of God.
God’s grace has levels; those levels of grace are only accessible to those who have greater humility. James 4:6 in this verse is the validation of the word. But He gives greater grace. That is why He says: God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble”, which denotes all pride and pride to obtain the grace of God.

Why do we need God’s grace?
First, we must recognize that, as we read in Romans 3:23, “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” and that “the wages of sin is death,” examples of God’s grace in the Bible: ( Romans 6:23).
In other words, sin, or breaking the law (1 John 3:4), carries a sentence, which is the death penalty. However, Jesus Christ paid that penalty for us through his sacrifice.
It was the sacrifice of Christ, the shedding of His blood, that enabled God to give us the gift of His grace; As Romans 3:24 says, we can be “justified freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” Therefore, the grace of God is received through Jesus Christ, and if we did not receive it, we would die as a result of our sins without the opportunity to have eternal life.
Difference Between God’s Grace and Mercy
Apart from the word “grace”, there are others that are often used to express God’s grace in some way, although they are not exactly the same. There is mainly mercy, but also favor, mercy and kindness. In both the Old and New Testaments we have grace and mercy. In the Old, however, we have more mercy than grace; in the New, we have more grace than mercy.
Mercy is compassion towards someone in their misery, in their need and helplessness. Mercy moves the hand of God to help that specific need. When the children of Israel groaned in Egypt because of slavery, and cried out, God heard their groan and remembered them (Ex. 2: 23-25). In Judges 2:18 it says that Jehovah God raised up judges from time to time to the Israelites because of the groans of those who afflicted them. God suffers for the pain and affliction of his people and comes to his aid.
Grace, on the other hand, is an unmerited gift from God to man, which goes beyond mercy, because it allows him to come out of his condemnation and live according to God’s demands. Mercy does not allow man to live a holy life; grace, on the other hand, gives him the power to do so. Mercy helps the wretched, but then it is at the expense of their own strength; grace, on the other hand, extends his hand, raises and sustains man in a level of life pleasing to God.
That is why it is Grace and not mercy that was done through Jesus Christ. Grace shines only at certain times in antiquity, as in God’s covenant with Abraham (Genesis 15:5-21) and with David (2 Sam. 7:14-16); but during the whole period of the law God cannot manifest his grace (except to a “little remnant,” Rom. 11:2-6), because the law is not of faith, but of works.
Even mercy, in the days of the Old Covenant, appears conditional. In Exodus 20:6, for example, it is so for those who keep the commandments and love God; for those who obey the law (Deuteronomy 7:12; 30:3; 1 Kings 8:23); for the merciful (2 Sam. 22:26). And whenever unconditional mercy is spoken of, it refers to the future Israel, not the present (as in Micah 7:18-20).
Both grace and mercy apply especially to God’s relationship with his people, but also to man’s relationship with his neighbor, when one of them is in a situation of solvency and the other in a situation of need. Thus, for example, in the case of grace, Joseph is said to have found grace in the eyes of his teacher Potiphar (Genesis 39:4); Ruth at Boaz (Ruth 2:10); Esther in Ahasuerus (Esther 2:17); Daniel at the head of the eunuchs (Dan. 1:9); and Nehemiah in Artaxerxes (Nh. 2:5,8).
God’s grace and mercy
As for mercy, it is said that Joseph, while in prison, asks the chief steward to have mercy on him (Genesis 40:14), that Rahab asks the spies for mercy for her father’s house (Joshua 2:12); and that David asks Saul for mercy (1 Sam. 20:8), etc. In man’s dealings with his neighbor, God’s grace is transformed into love or mercy. Because grace has only one direction, from top to bottom, from God to men.
On the other hand, love can be -besides vertical, of God for men and of men for God- horizontal, in the relations of man with his neighbor. So, those who know the grace of God have love, and also mercy.
God demands mercy. Mercy extends from the one who has received mercy to the one who has not yet received it. Hosea, the prophet, says: “Because I want mercy, and not sacrifice, and knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings” (6,6). The Lord Jesus takes this word more than once as an opportunity to apply it to the Pharisees who were offended because the Lord ate with publicans and sinners (Matthew 9:13), and who condemned the disciples because they picked ears of corn on the Sabbath ( Matthew 12:7).
The Lord taught us to mercifully forgive those who offend us (Matt. 18, 33.35), and to use mercy, as well as the tithe – as only the scribes and Pharisees did (Matt. 23, 23). Paul and the other apostles also taught it (Rom. 12:8; Col. 3:12). So in the Bible we have mercy, but above all we have grace, which further expresses the wonderful character of God, manifested in the Lord Jesus Christ. May the Lord help us to know it better and to live it.
“Grace in the life of the believer is multiform. Grace makes it possible for us to walk with God and empowers us to do his work. God alone is the cause of grace, though it requires Christians to faithfully apply the means He has made available to them to grow.
Examples of God’s Grace in the Bible
There are several Examples of Divine Grace in the Bible. Below we will mention 5 of them.
- Adam and Eve disobeyed God, however, we see his grace, when he allowed a way to be forgiven, through the sacrifice of an animal. Dressing them in their skins, so that they would not feel naked and ashamed of their sin.
And Jehovah God made coats of skins for a man and for his wife, and clothed them (Ge 3:21).
- The Bible also tells us that in the days of Noah the earth was full of evil and man’s thoughts were only for evil (Ge 6:5). But even though they were all bad, God searched for someone, because God wanted to show his grace.
But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord (Ge 6:8).
- By Grace God chose a man named Abraham, so that through his offspring he would give forgiveness and salvation by grace to humanity (Ge 18:1-5).
I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all the families of the earth will be blessed in you (Ge 12:3).
- By His Grace, Lot, too, was saved from being destroyed along with Sodom and Gomorrah.
Behold, now your servant has found favor in your eyes, and you have magnified your mercy that you have shown me by giving me life (Ge 19:19).
- When we read chapter 3 of Exodus, we see that Moses at first did not want to serve God. But nevertheless, God shows his grace to Moses and prepares him to lead his people out of Egypt.
And Moses said to the Lord: Look, you say to me: Bring out this people; and you have not told me whom you will send with me. However, you say: I have known you by name, and you have also found grace in my eyes. Now, then, if I have found grace in your eyes, I beg you to show me your way now, that I may know you, and find grace in your eyes; and see that these people are your people. And he said: My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest (Gen 33:12-14)
What is the meaning of grace in Hebrew and Greek?
The term most commonly used to define “Grace” in the Old Testament was the Hebrew “Hen”, while in the New Testament it was the Greek “Charis”. These terms originally mean “favor” or “kindness,” especially if undeservedly earned.
What is the grace of God according to the Bible?
The grace of God in the Bible is used to describe some of the main attributes of God (1 Peter 5:10). This Word is used to indicate God’s free or unmerited favor to man (Romans 3:24-26, Ephesians 2:8-9). Another way to describe “Grace” is that God chooses to bless us rather than curse us, through faith in Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross.
The first example of Grace found in the Old Testament is how God sacrificed an animal to cover the Sin of Adam and Eve (Ge 3:21). This is the shadow of Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross for the sins of humanity and the ultimate revelation of Divine Grace (Jn 1:14, 17).
The Believer experiences the “manifold grace of God” in a variety of circumstances, such as salvation (Eph 2:8-9), sanctification (6:14, 19, 22), service (2 Cor 2:9) and even in our weakness (2 Cor 12:9).
God’s grace has no limits and grants salvation to all who come to God through Jesus Christ.
How to obtain the grace of God?
There are many, among new believers and non-believers, who ask themselves this question “How to obtain God’s grace”, that is why I wanted to answer this question. And the truth is that there is no way, there is no human effort to win the “favor of God”, because the same scriptures say that “our justice is like a dirty rag” (Is 64,6). That is why the Letter to the Ephesians explains to us that Grace is a gift from God and that it is only obtained through faith in Jesus Christ.
For by grace you are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God; not by works, so that no one can boast (Eph 2:8-9).
What is the difference between law and grace?
The most relevant difference between the Law and Grace is that the Law was of works, while Grace is by faith. During the times of the Law, the People of Israel were obliged to keep all the Law that God gave to Moses, but with the coming of Jesus Christ, God extended His grace to all those who believed in Him whom He had sent as propitiation for our sins (John 1:17, 3:16, 1:12).
However, although the Law was of works, we can still see its Grace in the Old Testament, when God constituted a sacrificial system in the Tabernacle, thus allowing the sinner to approach Him through blood atonement. Thus teaching the Grace to come through the Sacrifice of Christ on the Cross.
Because the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ (John 1, 17).
