Are you finding it difficult to win a soul for Christ, discover how to tell some about Jesus Christ today
Perhaps not everyone has been called to be a preacher or a pastor, but there is one thing that we cannot get around, and that is to go and share about which God is in a personalized way.
Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of these men who, hearing what John said, followed Jesus. Andrew went to find his brother Simon and told him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means “Christ”). Then Andrew took Simon to meet Jesus. Jesus stared at Simon and said, “Your name is Simon son of John, but you will be called Cephas” (meaning “Peter”).” John 1:40-42
“If I were selfish and cared for nothing but my happiness, I would choose, if I could, with God’s consent, to be a personal worker; for I never knew perfect, overflowing, ineffable happiness, of the purest and most ennobling order, until I knew of one who had sought and found the Savior through my diligence” – Charles Haddon Spurgeon.
Perhaps not everyone has been called to be a preacher or a pastor, but there is one thing that we cannot get around, and that is to go and share about who God is in a personalized way. That is, dedicate ourselves to teaching and spiritually guiding a person. This is known as a “ personal worker ”.

Why should we be personal workers?
For Love. Our main reason and motivation must be the love that God has for His creation. We need to know the value of a soul; Jesus bought it with His blood, I think that gives us an idea.
“If anyone is ashamed of me and my message in these days of adultery and sin, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in the glory of his Father with his holy angels.” Mark 8:38
Because Hell is Real. If we were truly aware that the world, and even people we love, are doomed to suffer forever, believe me, we’d be more insistent about it. It sounds very loud, and it is. That is why it is important to make Jesus known.
By the cross. Jesus suffered and died so that those who do not know him have hope and believe in him. Christ did not suffer in vain.
Because of the emptiness in the world. We live in a world that offers us to be satisfied but ultimately leaves us empty. The only one who can satisfy us in Him.
For our family. All of us long for our family to spend eternity with the Creator.
The glories of heaven. The very love of God is enough. It is a love impossible to contain, it needs to come to light.
What do I need to be a personal worker?
Believe. You need to believe and be sure that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Lord of your life.
Be an example. Live a life according to Christ. This does not mean that we are going to be perfect, but rather that we have a desire to please him and a fear of failing him.
Know the Bible and know how to use it. I understand that many times not knowing the Bible completely can be used as an excuse, but it is not. It is necessary for our spirit that we feed daily on His Word. As a consequence, that food will make us grow. There are no excuses.
“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you; he will not rebuke them for asking for it.” James 1:5
Pray. We need to recognize that we are not the ones who convince people but rely totally on God. Prayer teaches us that.
Power. That power that our life needs we can only find through the Holy Spirit. We need a fellowship with God.
“Don’t get drunk on wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Ephesians 5:18
Passion. What are you most passionate about? Our hearts must burn for those who do not know who Jesus is, for those who do not know the meaning of the cross.

How can we do it?
“Those who sow with tears will reap with shouts of joy. They cry as they sow their seeds, but they come back singing when they bring in the harvest.” Psalm 126:5-6
First of all, we cannot wait for the person to come and ask us who Christ is. We must take the initiative to go, talk, be interested in people and teach them what it means that Jesus died for us.
We need compassion. Does our heartache for those who do not yet believe? Remember the three years I spent with you—day and night my constant attention and care—as well as my many tears for each of you.” Acts 20:31.
We just need the Word. If we think that with arguments and personal philosophies people will be convinced, we are wrong. We already mentioned that the only one who has that power is the Holy Spirit, and he is going to move when his Word is preached because there is power in that. Do you believe it? Has it happened to you that suddenly a verse hits you and penetrates your soul? Sometimes that’s all it takes, one verse. We don’t depend on ourselves, we depend on the Word.
The results are guaranteed. Not everyone we talk to about Christ is going to believe, but you can be sure that more than one is going to be transformed by Him, and seeing that happen in front of your eyes is the best experience. Do not give up, do not throw in the towel with that person, keep praying, and keep talking about Him. You are getting closer.
Knowing Jesus and giving your life to Him is indescribable, but it is surpassed by the experience of being used by God to reach other people.
Rules
Look for the opportunity and pray for it. And when the opportunity to act arises, do not hesitate and do not be afraid. Do it!
We must not lose focus. The purpose of talking to other people is to bring them to the knowledge of Jesus and that through His Word they can recognize Him as their Savior.
Let’s be polite. Many times by our insistence we can become authoritarian. Let’s not forget that we are talking and many times people want and need to be heard.
Let’s not take excessive trust with people. There will be those who like it but many people are uncomfortable. On many occasions, people open their hearts to us and tell us about very delicate aspects of their lives. Let’s always keep those secrets, it is not necessary to divulge something so personal. “You can be sure that whoever turns the sinner from his evil way will save that person from death and will result in the forgiveness of many sins.” James 5:20
Don’t argue. We must understand that there may be very strong barriers when talking about God, and there may be moments that lend themselves to discussions. Let’s not fall for it. Those details only take us away from the true goal: to make God’s love known through Jesus.
It’s not about you. Let’s not trust our experience or our power of persuasion. We need to be praying even as we converse with people. This will help us to be in tune with Him.
Don’t despair. In such a strong and important decision there are going to be obstacles. We know that to follow Jesus is to leave everything else. It is a supernatural work of God in us.
Humility above all. We all need God, and the fact of knowing Christ makes a difference in our hearts but it does not make us superior or inferior to others. We have the same need as an unbeliever.
