How to fight anxiety and depression

Spread the love

When you are down, don’t remain there but fight depression and keep going, this post will motivate you to get up and fight the depression and anxiety.

A depressed man is a tired person. He sleeps tired and wakes up tired. Waking up in the morning is a battle for him. When he wakes up in the morning eventually, he asks himself, “I am going to this office today again?” He sees the distance from his house to the office as a challenge. His energy is gone. He has no enthusiasm for work because he is depressed.

Don’t let yourself die anymore but fight and get out of your prison!

Depression is a deadly enemy of destiny. When you allow depression to take hold of your life, your destiny is jeopardized.

 key thoughts on depression

1. Depression is a major sponsor of oppression

Depression opens the door for and sustains oppression because Satan is at work where joy is lacking (1 Samuel 1:18-19).

2. Depression frustrates discretion (Isaiah 12:3)

Depression affects reasoning. Whenever people are depressed, their reasoning pathways are blocked. A depressed person lacks the capacity to find solutions to issues. They are too depressed to think about the solution. They are too depressed to think about a way out. Their mind is blocked, and so they cannot reason.

3. Depression decreases momentum (Psalm 42:5)

THE SECRET OF HAPPINESS

“Christ in you the hope of glory”. Col 1, 27

What to do about the persistence of this failure, this problem in the life of your child, your husband, this indebtedness, this threat hanging over you, this “dead end”, this sterility, this chronic frustration?
Above all, how do you manage not to throw in the towel and sink into depression?

I propose today to share with you the key that I personally use to keep my peace and remain connected to the Lord in all circumstances.

For you who imagine yourself to be the only person in the world to have fights, know that each person on this earth has his war to fight whether he is Christian or not.

We do not all have the same “Goliaths” but we each have our own “Goliath” to fight.

So instead of distressing yourself excessively, cling firmly to the Lord who is the Only One to be able to console you, strengthen you, and enlighten you in your situation according to 1 Peter 5, 7:

“Cast all your worries on Him, for He Himself takes care of you. Be sober, be careful. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom to devour. Resist him with firm faith, KNOWING THAT THE SAME SUFFERINGS ARE IMPOSED ON YOUR BROTHERS IN THE WORLD ”.

This passage lets us know that every Christian in the world suffers at his own level and I personally think that the difference between all of us who fight is at the level of how each one apprehends and manages the test that he is going through and especially how we have let us unload on the Lord by allowing Him to strengthen us.

For my part, even if my fights mourn me and sometimes sadden me, they cannot destroy me because I am founded on Le Roc Jesus who is My Treasure.

The fact of having Jesus for Treasure makes you a person ready to lose everything, it enables you to live in peace, even without this thing that you will have loved to obtain so much.

So this morning, I recommend that you do like me:

If necessary pray for it but accept either to detach yourself, or to put in “Stand by”, or to relegate to the second rank, or even to be ready to give up this. the thing or this person to make the Lord The First Object of your quest, Your Treasure according to Job 22, 2:

“Therefore hold fast to God, and you will have peace; You will thus enjoy happiness.

Receive instruction from his mouth, and put his words in your heart.

If you return to the Almighty you will be made well, if you remove iniquity from your tent.

Cast the gold in the dust, The gold of Ophir among the stones of the streams; And the Almighty will be your gold, your silver, your wealth ”.

Your peace and happiness must absolutely depend on God Alone. Why?
Because making your peace depend on your circumstances and/or the people around you is real suicide.

Ecclesiastes 1, 2

“Vanity of vanities, says Ecclesiastes, vanity of vanities, all is vanity”.

Psalm 62, 9

“Yes, vanity, sons of man! Lie, sons of man! In a balance, they would rise All together, lighter than a breath ”.

Jeremiah 17, 5

“This is what the Lord says: Cursed be the man who relies on men and makes human means the source of his strength, but who turns his heart away from the Lord. He is like a bush in the desert, and he will not see happiness coming. His home will be an arid desert, a salty land where no one lives ”.

Jeremiah 17: 7

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and puts his trust in the Lord. “When we turn our eyes to Him, we are radiant with joy, and our face is not covered with shame”.

2 Corinthians 12:10

Even for you who have known or who are currently experiencing a failure, do NOT dwell on this failure but fight to conquer all the things that can still be in your life. Go ahead and don’t give anything or anyone the power to darken your life or stop you.

God has given you the power to color your life yourself and that starts with making Him Your Treasure!

The first secret to learning to remain in peace and to maintain your mental health despite the ordeal is to make God Your Treasure.

Finally, remember that your problem absolutely does not change Who God is, and NEVER doubt His Love for you!
