Finding ways to seek God’s presence is an important task every young believer should take.

The steps to approach the presence of God is a doubt that those believers who are beginning the paths of the Lord have, and have that desire to know more about their  Savior, but there are things that suddenly make them deviate from their path.

That is why, in that search that believers must have on a daily basis, they will be able to get the ways to enter the presence of God, and it is important to be prepared to know the will of God in their lives.

When it comes to approaching the presence of God, this becomes a result where trust is shown without any fear.

In this way, Moses approached God and spoke face to face with Him.

And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. And Moses said unto the Lord, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up these people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight. Now, therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people” (Exodus 33:11-13)

Moses was a friend of God

Moses’ relationship with God was like having a friend

Moses had that trust and intimacy that allowed him to have that divine connection, and in the same way, Jesus maintained it when he was on earth.

“So that all may be one; as you, O Father, in me, and I in you, may they also be one in us; so that the world believes that you sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one, just as we are one” (John 17:21-22).

See God as Father

This is given by understanding that there is a  relationship between father and son, so it is that model of intimacy that a person must have when approaching God.

Do not see him as a distant figure but as a figure that is close and wants to have a mutual relationship.

“O God, you are my God; I seek you intensely, My soul is thirsty for you; my whole being longs for you; like dry land, exhausted and thirsty. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Your love is better than life; therefore my lips will praise you” (Psalm 63:1-3)

In order to enter the presence of God, certain parameters must be met that can be confirmed through the Holy Scriptures.

The Bible is the essential guide for every believer, and in this way to be able to connect with the Heavenly Father.

To get closer to God you must fulfill the following steps:

1. Know the Heart of God

In order to enter the presence of God, you must begin to know His heart.

And that is achieved through the Holy Spirit, who was left on earth after Jesus ascended to heaven.

“Now, God has revealed this to us through his Spirit, for the Spirit examines everything, even the depths of God” (1st Corinthians 2:10)

2. Seek the presence of God

It is important to start each day seeking the presence of God, understanding that it is to awaken a tireless longing in your heart, to be in the presence of the Heavenly Father.

• “I long to dwell in your house forever and take refuge under your wings” (Psalm 61:4)

• “My whole being desires you at night; in the morning my spirit seeks you” (Isaiah 26:9)

3. Prayer Lifestyle

Entering into the presence of God develops when you have prayer as a lifestyle,  and you can have that direct connection to heaven.

“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went to a solitary place, where he began to pray. Simon and his companions went out to look for him. At last, we found him and they told him: -Everyone is looking for you.- Jesus replied: Let’s go from here to other nearby villages where I can also preach, for this, I have come. So he went about all Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and driving out demons” (Mark 1:35-39).

“Praying at all times with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and being vigilant to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints” (Ephesians 6:18)

4. Pray at all times

In order to enter the presence of God, this dialogue must be developed in prayer when they present themselves before his presence, which can be at any stage of the day when he departs to listen to the voice of God.

But you, when you begin to pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is in secret. So your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you” (Matthew 6:6).

“In the morning, Lord, you will hear my cry; in the morning I present my prayers to you, and I wait for your answer” (Psalms 5:3)

“Annah, a prophetess, daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher, very old, was also there. for she had lived with her husband seven years since her virginity and had been a widow for eighty-four years; and he did not depart from the temple, serving night and day with fasts and prayers” (Luke 2: 36-37)

5. Study the Holy Scriptures

It is important to meditate on the teaching of the Holy Scriptures and see the example of Jesus who prayed all night to make decisions, and in private sought the answer from the Heavenly Father.

“In those days he went to the mountain to pray, and spent the night praying to God. And when it was day, called his disciples, and chose twelve of them, whom he also called apostles” (Luke 6:12-13).

6. Develop Consistency

Being in the presence of God can develop consistency in living in the presence of the Heavenly Father, and thus be able to advance the kingdom of God with power in the life of the believer.

“And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him” (Daniel 7:27).

7. Genuine Worship

In the presence of God, worship of Him can be developed,  and be able to do it on a daily basis, thus learning what is expected in eternity before the presence of God.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:23-24).

8. Develop your spiritual life

By remaining in intimacy with God, the spiritual life of the believer is developed, allowing the activation and development of the fruits of the Spirit in their lives.

“Instead, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control. There is no law that condemns these things” (Galatians 5:22-23)

9. Develop the character of Christ

In the presence of God, the character of Christ can be developed in believers, in order to be used for the service of his work in his church.

“The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him: the spirit of wisdom and understanding, a spirit of counsel and of power, a spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord” (Isaiah 11:2).“He himself constituted some, apostles; to others, prophets, to others, evangelists; and to others, pastors and teachers” (Ephesians 4:11)

10. Intimacy with God

When you have that intimacy with God, you allow yourself to develop spiritual gifts, which will allow for the growth of your life and the advancement of your ministry in the church.

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kind of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. ” (1 Cor. 12:8-11)

What prevents approaching the Presence of God

There are several circumstances that prevent the presence of God in the believer and they are the following:

1. The worries

The worries of daily life cause the believer to lack commitment and seriousness in approaching God since he will give priority to other things before the knowledge of the Heavenly Father.

“He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.” (Matthew 13:22)

2. God is not his priority

It is not prioritized in their times of intimacy with God, since it allows stress and impatience to affect them inside, harming the heart of the person in the search for the Heavenly Father.

“O, adulterous souls! Do you not know that the friendship of the world is enmity against God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God” (James 4:4).

To conclude, it can be said that approaching the presence of God is a choice that the person makes, and it becomes a commitment, which begins to cultivate a deep relationship with God.

And in this way lead a full interior life where the  Holy Spirit will help to change difficult situations into opportunities for victory, by approaching the presence of God.

Conclusion:
God wants his children to come closer to him and establish an intimate relationship and thus make himself known in their lives.

To be able to take them towards the prophetic destiny to which they are destined, activating all their gifts, and talents for the advancement of the kingdom of heaven.
