The presence of God dwells in the hearts of those who seek him and his love extends to those who cry out to him. His ears are made available to our prayers and petitions; but how to do the will of God in our lives? it is our decision.
By accepting the existence of God in our hearts and worshiping him with our whole being, we are already fulfilling God’s will. He does not force us to do anything. He just extends an invitation and we decide whether to accept it or not.
What is accepting His will?
Accessing His will does not mean that God submits to us and takes control, but rather that we allow Him to go ahead of us because it is we who cannot act, and only God can. To do his will is to trust that everything will be fine despite the circumstances.
It should be noted that submitting to God’s will is to have the spiritual wisdom that what he demands is fine
“Thus you can see what the will of God is, good, pleasant and perfect”
Romans 12:2
To understand this quote is to trust that what God demands is good according to his terms, is perfect according to his vision, and is pleasant according to his perception; here is the conflict of many.
Because they want to submit to the will of God but refuse to leave their self; They are clinging to their selfishness.
When God tries to act in those areas that we block from his presence or resist his healing, a process begins in our lives in which we begin to question the power and the very will with God.
Conflicts with God
The main conflict we have with God does not come from the enemy but from ourselves.
The conflict is our ego because although we want the protection and care of the Father, we do not want to completely surrender our heart, our soul, and our spirit.
When God establishes the terms of his will; within us, there must be peace; because the final result of the treatment to our lives will be beneficial; On the other hand, if you feel pressure, turbulence and discomfort, it is because you are fighting alone and you have pushed God out of your way.
There’s a price to pay
Sometimes we like to enjoy God’s favor; enjoy his protection, his presence, his miracles; but we don’t like to pay the price. We do not accept the divine commitment to voluntarily submit to him.
How to do the will of God in our lives?
It should be clarified that it is not a submission where our rights are lost and we are violated; if not a submission where someone who loves me can take control and so I can trust that everything will be fine because he directs my life.
How to know God’s will?
To know God’s will, we must first know him. Knowing who God is and what his character is like will make it easier to understand where we are going.
God is our father and his character is affable, he loves us and carefully watches over us. He sees us as his little ones and he takes care of us.
As a father who loves us, God is not going to affect us by exercising his will over our lives, he wants to bless us and wants the best for us.
To accept the will of God in our lives is to surrender to him; it is stripping ourselves of our burdens and sorrows by allowing God to go ahead overcoming obstacles.
What to do to know the will of God in my life?
To know the will of God in our lives we must mainly seek it with a genuine heart; without prejudice and without selfishness
Jeremiah 29:13
“And you will seek me and find me, because you will seek me with all your heart.”
1. In prayer:
Talking with God allows us to know his will in our lives, to understand that we need his help and that we depend completely on him.
2. Reading the word:
Reading the scriptures helps us to understand what God wants from us and to deeply know what his will is in our lives.
3. Cultivating a relationship with God:
Being far from God we will not know his will, we must open our communication with God and cultivate it so that He can reveal to us and lives; by being close to him we can understand his will, his love, and his presence.

Prayer to God to do his will in our lives
Dear God of glory; Blessed be your presence in our lives.
Thank you for your infinite love, for your mercy and benevolence.
In this hour Lord, I recognize my failures before you, because I wanted to do my will and not yours.
Come lead me and make me a righteous person. Guide me through your paths that are of peace and justice.
Take me with your blessing whatever my way and forgive my transgressions. I give you my heart and my life, and I accept the sacrifice that Jesus made on the Cross for me.
Amen.
