The presence of God is the most important place a Christian should dwell.
When you are in love with someone, the only thing you want and desire is to be with that person. In the same way, a person who loves God will naturally seek to be close to Him. One of the priorities of the Christian is to meet with other believers to seek God and meet Him. To be with God is to be In its presence.
What is the correct way to enter the presence of God? What does the Bible say? Why is it so important?
This post has all the answers to your query.
Three levels of manifestation of the presence of God
General: One of the main characteristics of God is that he is omnipresent; that is, his presence is everywhere and at all times. This is the first level. God is everywhere but he does not manifest himself everywhere.
Particular: Something that God promises us is that He is present when we gather to praise and glorify Him. “For where two or three gather in my name, I am there among them” (Matthew 18:20)
Special: We can find in 2 Chronicles 5:13-14, how, by praising God, the priests were able to attract His presence in a very special way: in the form of a cloud. The Glory of God manifested and filled the temple in which they were. It seems like a fantasy story but it is real.
How can we approach the presence of God?
“There is no right or wrong way to enter the presence of God.”
God teaches us that worship and praise are the appropriate expressions to approach the presence of God. The people of Israel, for example, entered the presence of God with praise. For his part, Jesus made it clear to us that there is no manual or formula for worship, rather it is a matter of the Spirit.
“But the time is coming—in fact, it has already come—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father looks for people who adore him in that way. For God is Spirit, therefore all who worship him must do so in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24
There is no right or wrong way to enter God’s presence, there is only God’s way. Your way can be different and unique each time.
We are all responsible for worshiping God. As Christians and worshipers of God, we must take responsibility within the Church. It’s not about blaming the pastor, singer, or leader when something goes wrong. It is the responsibility of every member of the Church to be prepared for times of worship. The Bible says: “Praise God in his sanctuary” Psalms 150:1, this makes all of us who participate in the meeting and worship responsible.

How can we prepare ourselves to enter worship?
“A true worshiper makes his daily activities an expression of dedication to God.”
It is essential to pray. Praying is talking to God, telling him about our battles, and putting ourselves in his hands. It is to thank him for each of the things he gives us day by day. When we don’t have this intimate relationship with Him and don’t give Him our struggles and weaknesses to work on, we may not be able to focus during moments of worship. All unconfessed sin will come to mind when we try to worship Him.
Hebrews 10:25 says, “And let us not forsake our meeting together, as some do, but encourage one another. ” An important part of the preparation is to come together and understand that we must remain united by continually encouraging each other because when we are separated we die spiritually. We must not forget to pray before each meeting, as well as understand that arriving early to Church is essential, this allows us to have communion with God before anything else through worship and praise.
Going to church should not only be to receive something from God, we should go to give God our time, our talents, serving Him within the church, and above all, blessing and worshiping His Name.
It is cause for joy
“Sing of the glory of his name! tell the world how glorious he is.” Psalms 66:2
During the times of praise and worship, we should put glory in the praises, that is, deliver these praises to Him in truth and present them with joy. Praises alone do not guarantee a glorious meeting, we must put aside everything that distances us from God and dedicate ourselves to Him completely in spirit.
We must be worshipers every day, not just wait for Sunday to do it; God blesses us each and every day of our lives. Does he not deserve to be adored and appreciated daily?
If when we are in church we still can’t feel fulfilled when worshiping, maybe it’s because we haven’t learned how to worship during the week. The fact of participating in worship does not make us worshipers. God does not ask that we sing praises to him all week long, but he does ask that we live as worshipers all week long. God demands holiness, unity, discipline, and order in the lives of his children. When we adopt that kind of life we will find that the praises will flow from within us naturally. A true worshiper makes his daily activities an expression of dedication to God.
Praise God, even in our worst moments!
“A sacrifice is something that is hard for us to deliver and this kind of praise is not something that comes easily.”
When we have a close relationship with God, praise usually flows easily. But there are times when we are not in that situation. It seems that everything is going wrong for us and we don’t feel like praising God, this is when we offer sacrifice in praise. That is, we praise God despite everything we are going through. The Bible invites us to offer sacrifices of praise to God.
“Therefore, through Jesus, let us offer a continual sacrifice of praise to God, by which we proclaim our allegiance to his name.” Hebrews 13:15
A sacrifice is something that is difficult for us to deliver and this kind of praise is not something that comes easily. We are not in the best conditions and it will surely be very difficult to do our part, but for God, it is of great price and therefore He is pleased to receive it as a sacrifice in praise. We can see David’s example in 1 Chronicles 21:24 “But King David answered Araunah, “No, I insist on buying her for the full price. I will not take what is yours to give to the Lord. I will not present burnt offerings that have cost me nothing!” David did not want to deliver something that will cost him anything.
Sacrifice is not if it costs nothing. There is no sacrifice when there is a desire to do so. In the old testament, the sacrifice required the death of the animal. The sacrifice of the New Testament also demands of the believer death to his comfort, to himself and his desires.
To enter the presence of God, let us seek a life that honors him. Let’s seek God every day. Let’s participate in activities to serve you. But above all, let us give the best of us in spirit and in truth. Only through moments of adoration will we be able to enter His presence.
