The Lord descended in the cloud and stood next to Moses. Then he made his name known to him: passing before him, he proclaimed: The Lord, the Lord, God merciful and compassionate, slow to anger and great in love and faithfulness, who keeps his love until a thousand generations later, and who forgives the iniquity, rebellion, and sin; but that he does not leave the guilty unpunished, but punishes the wickedness of the fathers in the children and in the grandchildren, even to the third and fourth generation.
Then Moses bowed to the ground and prayed to the Lord.
Do not worship other gods, because the Lord is very jealous. His name is Jealous God.

At this point, Job got up, tore his clothes, shaved his head, and then sank to the ground in worship. Then he said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will go. The Lord has given; the Lord has removed. Blessed be the name of the Lord!” Despite all this, Job did not sin or blame God.
So let us who are receiving an unshakable kingdom be thankful. Inspired by this gratitude, let us worship God as he pleases, with reverent fear, because our “God is a consuming fire.”

He cried out with a loud voice: “Fear God and give him glory because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship the one who made the sky, the earth, the sea, and the springs.”
Oh God, you are my God; I look for you intensely. My soul is thirsty for you; my whole being longs for you, like a dry, exhausted, and thirsty land.
Your love is better than life; therefore my lips will praise you. I will bless you as long as I live, and raising my hands I will invoke you.
In the shadow of your wings, I will sing, because you are my help. My soul clings to you; your right hand holds me.
Jesus replied: It is written: “Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.”
Yours are, O LORD, the greatness, the power, the glory, the splendor, and the majesty; for yours are all things that are in heaven and on earth. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you exalt yourself as head over all.

How deep are the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unfathomable his judgments and impenetrable his ways! Who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor? Who has given to God first, so that later God will pay him? Because all things proceed from him, and exist through him and for him. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
Therefore, brothers, taking into account the mercy of God, I beg each of you, in spiritual worship, to offer your body as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. Do not conform to the current world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. In this way, they will be able to verify what is the will of God, good, pleasant, and perfect.

Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels who were around the throne, of the living creatures, and of the elders. The number of them was thousands of thousands and millions of millions. They sang with all their might: “Worthy is the Lamb, which has been sacrificed, to receive power, wealth and wisdom, strength and honor, glory and praise!”
And I heard every creature in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and in the sea, everyone in creation, singing: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, be praise! and honor, glory, and power, forever and ever!”
…and they sang the hymn of Moses, the servant of God, and the hymn of the Lamb: “Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of nations. I, John, am the one who saw and heard all these things. And when I saw and heard it, I fell down to worship the angel who had been showing me all this. But he told me: “No, watch out! Do not bow down to them or worship them. I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God. When parents are evil and hate me, I punish their children to the third and fourth generation.
