Whatever the reason why you feel sad, you need to know that these emotions do not bring anything positive for the soul and spirit. Therefore, it is best to seek help and through the Psalms, it is where you can find words of encouragement from people who also suffered the same problems.
1. Psalms 25: 16-22
Like the psalmist who wrote these words, sometimes we think that God has abandoned us and that is why we feel lonely and sad. But this is not true because the Father never abandons us and we only have to know how to ask him to heed our call. If you want your spiritual life to improve and sadness away from your life, recite this beautiful Psalm out loud.
Turn to me and have mercy on me, for I am alone and deeply distressed. My problems are going from bad to worse, oh, deliver me from all of them! Feel my pain, consider my difficulties and forgive all my sins. Look how many enemies I have, and how ruthlessly they hate me!
Protect me! Rescue my life from their hands! Do not allow them to embarrass me, for I take refuge in you. May integrity and honesty protect me, because I put my hope in you.
O God, rescue Israel from all her troubles.
Amen.
2. Psalms 6:6-10
If you are looking for new hope for your life, you have to give all your worries to the Creator, just as David did. Who at some point in his existence here on earth, felt terrible pain and anguish. So daily he cried out to God to restore his spirit and not abandon him in the clutches of his enemies. You have to know that the Heavenly Father is always on your side and he will help you with all his love to get out of this state of sadness.
I’m exhausted from crying so much. All night I flood my bed with tears; I soak it with my tears. Pain clouds my vision; my eyes are worn because of all my enemies.
Go away, all you who do evil, for the Lord has heard my cry.
The Lord has heard my prayer; The Lord will answer my prayer. May all my enemies be disgraced and terrified; They step back, embarrassed. Amen.
3. Psalms 30:4-12
When David’s pleas were heard by the Heavenly Father, his gratitude was so great that he wrote the following Psalm. Where he expresses that only divine grace could solve the serious problems that he was going through and the guidance of the Lord never left him. Because only God is our help and to him, we must give our dreams and hope.
Sing to the Lord , you righteous! Praise his holy name. For his wrath lasts but a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! The crying may last all night, but with the morning comes joy.
When I was prosperous, I said, “Now nothing can stop me!” Your favor, O Lord , made me as firm as a mountain; then you turned away from me, and I was devastated.
I cried out to you, O Lord . I begged the Lord for mercy, saying, “What will you gain if I die, if I sink into the grave? Can my dust praise you? Can you speak of your fidelity? Hear me, Lord, and have mercy on me; help me, oh Lord.
You changed my mourning into a joyous dance; You took off my mourning clothes and dressed me with joy, so that I can sing your praises and not remain silent. O Lord my God, forever I will give you thanks!
Amen.
