Did Judas go to Heaven or Hell? This is one of the most often asked questions in Christianity. According to Scripture, Judas Iscariot, the betrayer of Jesus, is clearly burning in Hell right now. He was never rescued, and while being remorseful before his suicide, he never repented.
Judas Iscariot was not forced to betray Jesus by God, but he knew he would. Remember, some Christians aren’t true Christians, and some pastors simply exploit God’s name for profit, as I believe Judas did. You cannot be demon-possessed if you become a faithful Christian, and you will always be a Christian. John 10:28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.
5 Truth From The Scripture
1. He was a greedy thief who betrayed Jesus for money!
John 12:4-7 But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him, objected, “Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages.” He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it. “Leave her alone,” Jesus replied. “It was intended that she should save this perfume for the day of my burial.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
Matthew 26:14-16 Then one of the twelve, whose name was Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?” And they paid him thirty pieces of silver. And from that moment, he sought an opportunity to betray him.
Luke 16:13 “A servant cannot serve two masters. He will hate the first master and love the second, or he will be devoted to the first and despise the second. You cannot serve God and wealth. ”
2. Was Judas saved? No, Satan entered him. True Christians can never be demon-possessed!
John 13:27-30 As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. So Jesus told him, “What you are about to do, do quickly.” But no one at the meal understood why Jesus said this to him. Since Judas had charge of the money, some thought Jesus was telling him to buy what was needed for the festival or to give something to the poor. As soon as Judas had taken the bread, he went out. And it was night.
1 John 5:18 We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the Evil One cannot harm them.
1 John 5:19 We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one.
3. Jesus calls him a devil!
John 6:70 Then Jesus said, “I chose the twelve of you, but one is a devil.”
4. It would have been better if he was never born!
Matthew 26:20-24 When evening came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the Twelve. And while they were eating, he said, “Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me.” They were unfortunate and began to say to him one after the other, “Surely you don’t mean me, Lord?” Jesus replied, “The One who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me. The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.”
5. Doomed to destruction!
John 17:11-12 I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so they may be One as we are one. While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.
Judas was the only unclean disciple. He was not saved, and he was not forgiven.
John 13:8-11 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.
