How to engage the holy ghost in difficult situations
During impossible, upsetting situations the cheapest way to gain victory is to give thanks in the Spirit.
Romans 8:26-27 – Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
How to engage the holy spirit when you don’t know what else to do
When you do not know what else to do or what the situation is and you pray in the Spirit, the Holy Spirit helps you to locate the source of the challenge and presents it to God on your behalf. Praying in the Spirit gets you in line with the will of God on a subject matter and when you ask anything according to His will, He answers, according to 1 John 5:14.
Therefore, praying in the Spirit brings you to the center of the will of God in your supplications and when that happens, you are certain of receiving answers to your prayers. It is a dynamic spiritual weapon that helps you maximize your prayer life.
As you pray in the Spirit on a particular subject, the Holy Ghost searches out the will of God from scriptures for you,
communicating them to your spirit for you to know what God has said that entitles you to His intervention on the matter.

How to pray in the holy spirit effectively
How do you pray in the holy spirit effectively?
To most, this has become a question many can’t give straight answer to because to pray in the holy spirit you have to be filled with the holy spirit.
But there’s a saying that say ‘Pray until you pray.’
What does it mean?
This means that we get into the place of prayer and begin to pray.
We do not hurry. We reflect on what the Scriptures say about prayer and begin to put it into practice. We take our time.
We confess our sins and look away to Christ. We reflect on what it means to have God as our Father in heaven.
We express our desire to see him glorified and to see his kingdom spread.
We submit ourselves to his will.
We commit to him our physical needs. We are open and honest about our failures. We yearn to be sinless.
We revel in his kingdom, power and glory. And somewhere along the line the spirit of prayer gets hold of us.
The Lord comes to meet us. Fervour, faith and importunity invade our souls. We feel ourselves to be animated; humbled yet exalted, exhilarated but exhausted, weak but very strong, mortal yet immortal!

The Holy Ghost is the third Person of the adorable Trinity.
His personality is proved (1) from the fact that the attributes of personality, as intelligence and volition, are ascribed to
him ( John 14:17 John 14:26 ; 15:26 ; 1 Corinthians 2:10 1 Corinthians 2:11 ; 12:11 ).
His divinity is established from the fact that the names of God are ascribed to him ( Exodus 17:7 ; Psalms 95:7 ; Compare Hebrews 3:7-11 ); and (2) that divine attributes are also ascribed to him, omnipresence ( Psalms 139:7).
