Very often we pray to satisfy our selfish desires and this prevents us from being granted because we are not praying according to God’s heart, according to His will.

The word is alive, it is full of force, and thanks to it we can approach the Highest with the firm assurance of being heard and transformed. For it is not our own words but the word that God has given us, which purifies us and constitutes the shield of our faith.
Below are 3 keys that will help you pray with Bible verses.
Before you begin to pray, it is best to make a list of verses on which to base your faith based on your situation. In order to better understand the meaning of the verses, it is important to do a little meditation that will help you understand the context. Every time you do that, you soak up the Word and it comes to life in you. The Holy Spirit will enable you to understand things that were previously hidden from you.
Second Letter to the 2 Corinthians 3:17 “The Lord here is the Holy Spirit. And when the Spirit of the Lord is present, freedom is there. ”
Example :
Psalm 23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.“
Holy Spirit what do you mean to me through this verse? How can I apply it to my life right now? You will discover through this exercise that God is present at your side in the situation you are living in and that you do not have to fear the worst. You will then be filled with confidence and faith! Based on this truth that the Holy Spirit has just revealed to you, you can then pray and confess your victory in this situation you are living.
But before starting the prayer, it is recommended that you spend some time in praise and worship.

2. Create an atmosphere of praise and worship
For God sits in the midst of the praise and worship of His people. You have to put yourself in an atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to be able to manifest. It is about getting in a quiet place, far from any nuisance. For that, you can put music that exalts God or even sing. For we are worshipers and what the Lord expects of us is that we can worship Him in spirit and in truth.
Being in worship, the Holy Spirit will begin to bring up in you Words and divine inspirations in relation to your problem. You can then begin to pray and declare or proclaim these words full of life to see things change!
3. Proclaim the verses that are the subject of your meditation
Joshua 1:8 ” This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
Sometimes we don’t realize the power that resides in the Word of God. As Moses finished his walk with the people of Israel, Joshua received instructions from the Lord because it was he who was going to cross the Jordan with the people to enter the promised land. On the occasion, the Lord has particularly insisted on the fact of meditating but also of proclaiming (repeating) His Word. For God is always behind His Word to fulfill it and when we proclaim it with faith it comes to life in us.
So you too, do like Joshua, keep repeating this Word (Rhema) that you have received and the Spirit that is in you will pray through you, your prayers will become powerful and inspired.
