When searching for a definition of God, we were able to find multiple perspectives that lead us to build our own concept. But who is God for us according to the Bible? The sacred scriptures speak to us about God from their first books. And in the first pages, defines God as a supreme being, judge, creator, protector, and saviour of the earth and the universe.
In reading this sacred book God is defined as love.
God is our only king
Deuteronomy 10:17 tells us that The Lord your God is God’s supreme and sovereign Lord; he is the great, strong and awesome God, who does not act with partiality or accept bribes. He is the only king and the only creator of God. we don’t have to worship other kings or gods. Neither to money, nor luxuries. Because no king on earth gave us life, nor sacrificed that of his son for me. He will not love us as the lord our creator either.
God is the one who disciplines us if we stray from his path
The fear of God is nothing more than respect for a father, who is guiding us along the path of good. Not as an obligation but for his eternal love of seeing us with well-being. But what if I’m wrong? In Psalm 7:11 God is a just judge, and a God who is angry every day against the wicked. My lord will judge you . His
great love is accompanied by the discipline that every father must undertake on his children. Well, he doesn’t want there to be derailments that lead us to eternal punishment.
God is the life that reigns in our surroundings
Our God is the beginning. An inexhaustible force that is found in everything that surrounds us. That powerful force, the existence of the whole, created everything that surrounds us. In Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. He created the light that he separated from the darkness. The skies and their birds, the waters and their fish, the trees and the stars. Finally, he gave life to us, his children, so that we could have dominion over all those things that he created with immense love for our enjoyment.
God is our protector at all times
Psalms 32:7 You are my refuge; you will protect me from danger and surround me with songs of liberation. There are no amulets that can give us the protection that our creator Father strives to give to all of his children. Only He, with the immensity of it, can be the refuge for my days of sadness, my anguish and against the dangers of the world. God is the field of flowers of various colours to which we transfer our hearts when we suffer. It is the imposing mountain that dresses the city and that shelters us in our moments of affliction.
God is the one who saves us from being dragged down paths far from Him
Timothy 1:9 For God saved us and called us to a holy life, not because of our own works, but because of his own determination and grace. He granted us this favour in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time. My God not only protects us in my worst moments, but he also saves us. Furthermore, by granting us forgiveness through the sacrifice on the cross of his son the Lord Jesus Christ, he saved us from the eternal death that means falling into the clutches of evil. In that sense, my soul will find rest, because from Him comes our salvation.
God is the kind force that reigns in our heart
Kindness is the intrinsic nature of God our Lord. Psalm 34:8 tells us, “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him.” I trust in God, because only He saves us, takes care of us, and protects us.
In his big heart, we get the goodness that we can’t find in trivial things. In our hearts, there is the goodness that comes to us from God. But, that of our creator Father is good that he did not receive from another source. It is its essence. It is inexhaustible as much as his greatness and his love.

God is merciful to us
Psalms 51:1-2 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your great love; according to your great goodness, blot out my transgressions. Wash me from all my wickedness and cleanse me from my sin. As we have repeatedly mentioned, only God’s forgiveness and love can save
It is He in his immense goodness who is going to free us from all evil. That is why, every day we pray that he be compassionate and forgive the mistakes we have made; to give us wisdom, and the power to discern and make decisions that lead us on the right paths.
God gives us the wisdom we need to understand everything
In James 1:5 we find: If any of you lacks wisdom, ask God, and he will give it to you, for God gives generously to all without despising anyone. The source of wisdom is none other than God, and in those moments that we are afflicted by a situation in which we cannot discern, we should stop and look at the sky, because according to the bible He is the teaching and who will give us the power to learn of our mistakes, our successes, so as not to stumble again and follow the path of good.
God is the strength that gives us the gift of patience
One of God’s greatest gifts is patience. He is patient to wait for us because she does not want us to perish. He wants us to find that light that shines in his great heart. Proverbs 14:29 He who is patient shows great discernment; he who is aggressive shows much foolishness. Just like Him, we must seek patience, and wait for the moment so that we can discern with wisdom before during the moments that require our good decisions. It is for this reason, that we pray to the Lord and sow in us, the gift of patience.
God is the hope that makes our life green
They say that hope is the last thing to be lost in the worst of times. Definitely yes, because if we see deeply, our God is hope. And if he accompanies us, he will never abandon us. There he is, vigilant, protective, inspiring us with the joy of moving forward. To take every step. In Psalm 42:11
we found some hopeful answers when we ask ourselves these questions, why should I worry? Why should we worry? In God, I will put my hope, and I will still praise him. He is my Savior and my God!
God is the love that we keep in our heart
In Corinthians 13:4-5 we find: Love is patient, love is kind. Love is not envious or boastful or proud. He doesn’t behave rudely, he isn’t selfish, he doesn’t get angry easily, and he doesn’t hold a grudge. God, the giver of life, who despite our sins, and our foolishness, does not stop loving us. For his love goes beyond the simplicities. His love is so great that he was able to send his only son to earth to be sacrificed for man. And when he told us you will love your neighbour as yourself, he asked us that our love be almost as pure as his.
