Here we show you what “the fire of the holy spirit” is all about.
In today’s Western Christian culture, the Holy Spirit is an aspect of God that is often not discussed. However, when we stop teaching, we open doors to the enemy.

Why? Because the Holy Spirit is the part of the triune Deity that dwells within us and equips us for battles. When we don’t understand the power of the full armor of God, we are left unprotected.

The Holy Spirit not only equips us but guides us towards the achievement of the divine purposes that God uniquely predestined for each of us.

What does the fire need to grow in us?

It needs fuel to stay lit and keep burning when it comes to fire. To keep the flame of the Holy Spirit burning in you every day, He requires the fuel of God’s Word. He allows the Holy Spirit to breathe the Word of God into your soul so that it aligns within you.

Fire requires a balance between fuel, oxygen, and heat; this is the same for your spiritual walk. We have a responsibility to balance the elements that keep the fire burning.

If you want the fire of the Holy Spirit to burn within you and never go out, you must first know what it is for and how to use it.

to guide us

The Holy Spirit guides us to position our souls with the Spirit of God. He instructs us in our walk of faith. When we give our lives for God, the Holy Spirit uses his fire to purify and cleanse the old, making us a new creation in Christ.

The fire of the Holy Spirit

The Scriptures present us with a variety of visible images signifying the presence and action of the Holy Spirit. These signs include wind, fire, breath, and rivers of living water.

Pillar of fire in the desert

The signs of fire in the Scriptures signify in a particular way the holy presence, power, and glory of God, as well as the purifying and cleansing action of the Holy Spirit. Some examples include:

  • The Burning Bush – Exodus 3
  • The pillar of fire in the desert – Exodus 13: 21-22
  • The consuming fire on Mount Carmel – 1 Kings 18: 17-40
  • The burning coal that purified the lips of Isaiah the Prophet – Isaiah 6:6-7
  • The tongues of fire at Pentecost – Acts 2: 1-4
  • God’s consuming fire in the new heavenly Jerusalem – Hebrews 12:22,28

Moses before the burning bush

When the Lord Jesus began his public ministry, the first thing John the Baptist said about him was:

He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire” (Matthew 3:11 and Luke 3:16).

What does it mean to be baptized with the fire of the Holy Spirit of God?

When the Holy Spirit comes, he sets our hearts on fire with the love of Jesus Christ. When we commit our lives to Jesus Christ and pray for the Holy Spirit to be fully released into our lives, what happens?

What does the Holy Spirit do?

  • The Holy Spirit opens our ears to hear the voice of God: the Spirit allows the Word of God to come alive in us so that the Word of God becomes a living Word and changes life so that it is sharper than any sword of two-edged: Paul the Apostle calls the Word of God the sword of the Spirit ( Ephesians 6 ).
  • Open our eyes to give us a vision of what God is doing today in the Church, the world, and our personal lives. “Without vision, people perish” ( Proverbs 29:18 )
  • The Spirit of God opens our minds to give us knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of God and his ways ( Isaiah 11:2 ). Jesus said that the Holy Spirit will teach us the truth and help us remember all that Christ has taught ( John 14:26; 16:13 ).
  • The Spirit opens our tongues to praise God, speak his word with faith, conviction, and boldness, and encourage the faint of heart, the hopeless, and the weak.
  • Anoint our hands to bring blessing, healing, comfort, and help to others.
  • Equip our feet with speed and haste to bring the good news of the Gospel to every neighbor near and far.
  • Purify our hearts and minds, and set us on fire with the love of Christ.

When Jesus began his ministry, he was led by the Holy Spirit to proclaim the good news of the kingdom to every town, city, and region of Israel. The Spirit gave strength or power to every word that Jesus spoke.

The Spirit revealed the thoughts and intentions of people’s hearts to Jesus. He empowered Jesus to perform signs, wonders, and miracles and free people from Satan’s oppression in their lives.

We are the body of Christ, members of his Church on earth. Jesus calls us to do the very works he did and equips us with spiritual gifts to carry on the work he started.

“Christ has nobody now but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks at compassion in this world. Your feet are the ones with which he walks to do good. Yours are the hands through which he blesses the whole world.

The outpouring of the Holy Spirit today

Why is God pouring out his Holy Spirit today with signs, healings, and spiritual gifts? One reason is that the Gospel and the Christian people are under unprecedented attack today.

We need spiritual power to counter this attack and proclaim the Gospel in the joy and power of the Holy Spirit. Charismatic renewal is a crucial part of God’s work to renew, restore, and eGod’sGod’s people to stand firm in faith and courage, persevere in unwavering hope, and be on fire with the love of Christ.

Final Words:
The firGod’sGod’s Holy Spirit can be poured out on all of us who accept Jesus Christ as our savior and God, and this is a biblical expression that means that you receive an irrevocable seal of salvation, showing that salvation is not lost and that it is always the essence of God will burn in our lives.
