Spread the love

You cant work for God and lack in life, this post is How to become rich for God.

Genesis 26:13  “This man (Isaac) became rich, and he went on getting richer and richer until he became very rich.

Genesis 30:43 “Jacob is getting richer and richer. He owns many sheep and goats, maidservants and servants, camels and donkeys.

Financial prosperity is not just for the ungodly or a select class of people. Wealth is indeed the share of all those whose Father is the Creator God, the One to whom the gold and silver belong, like Isaac and Jacob in the aforementioned verses.

Yes, you can become rich if you aspire to it. You can prosper in every way and even financially if you so desire. But the fundamental question remains and remains: How to become rich for God, In other words: what place do you give to God in the grace He gives you (or will give you) to possess material goods in abundance?

5 Ways to become rich for God

Recognize and find in God the source of your wealth.

Deuteronomy 8:17-18
“Be careful not to say in your heart, My strength and the might of my hand have gotten me these riches. Remember the Lord your God, for it is He who will give you strength to acquire them, to confirm, as He does today, His covenant which He swore to your fathers.

You cannot become rich for God if you do not first recognize that He is your true source of wealth. Neither your intelligence nor your strength has acquired for you all these goods that you possess. Or do you not know that some people wiser than you have gone bankrupt or failed without even being at the end of their efforts? Others even more privileged than you have not reached the peak of their wealth because they were sick or died too soon before their projects saw the light of day. Recognize therefore the hand of God which has brought you thus far and render the glory which is due to your Creator.

If you aspire to wealth, entrust yourself to your Heavenly Father, submit to Him and recognize His sovereignty and His authority which will lead you on the path to your future glory.

Flee laziness and hate ease.

Proverbs 14:23
“One who works hard reaps benefits. But he who only speaks will always be poor.

Proverbs 20:13
“Do not love sleep, lest you become poor; Open your eyes, you will be satisfied with bread.

Only your work will be rewarded. No person in the Bible got rich by magic or by chance. It took Jacob and many other biblical characters years of hard work and perseverance. It is therefore utopian to fold your arms doing nothing, without providing a hard work effort and hoping to prosper financially.

God is not easy. It also does not encourage laziness. Even in the choice of His disciples, our Lord Jesus Christ was surrounded by people who were active in the Jewish society of the time. To become rich for God is to hate laziness and to work diligently.

Have an attitude of integrity and loyalty towards money.

Proverbs 22:1
“Reputation is better than great riches, and grace is better than silver and gold.

Your attitude toward money will determine whether or not the Lord will entrust you with great riches. Let us remember that “he who is faithful in the smallest things is also so in the great, and he who is unjust in the smallest things is also so in the great. Luke 16:10 (KJV). God is not looking for rich people who will tarnish the reputation of the body of Christ. Thus, the best way to become rich for God is to have a testimony that honors him in the management of our wealth or the goods entrusted to us.

Avoid greed.

Ecclesiastes 5:10
“He who loves money is not satisfied with money, and he who loves riches does not enjoy it. This again is vanity.

The Bible is clear on the matter; we will never be rich if we are greedy. In other words, if the love of money is the reason for our pursuit of material and financial goods, we will never benefit from it. Therefore we will never become rich for God. If therefore our love for money surpasses everything, it is obvious that we will not be able to honor God when He gives us the grace to possess it.

To serve God through his possessions.

When our motivation to become wealthy is backed by a deep desire to help advance God’s work among men, our wealth will help bless the Kingdom of God. We then become rich for God by financing evangelization campaigns and missions, by bringing our moral, financial and material support to the widow and the orphan, by bringing our help to the destitute and/or the homeless, by promoting the construction of places of worship, etc.

However, we cannot accomplish everything; that is why whoever wants to become rich for God will have to be sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit to be God’s answer to a given situation at a specific time. To become rich for God is to obey the voice of the Lord by making his wealth available to build up His work and build up the body of Christ.

Do you want to get rich for God so that your hands do not slacken in the work, that money is for you a means of serving God and your neighbor, above all be humble and recognize that all that you have comes from your Father who is in heaven and who decided to give you the grace of being rich to give glory to Him.

1 Timothy 6:17
“Command the rich of this age not to be haughty, and not to put their hope in uncertain riches, but to put it in God, who gives us all things abundantly that we may enjoy it.
