God does not change, He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
We live in a world where so many moral values that once were taken from the Bible are no longer all respected and are even openly rejected, with very logical arguments that can be confusing. But has our God changed?
Malachi 3: 6 (Louis Segond) “For I am the Eternal, I do not change
The Word of God stands forever.
John 1: 3 (Louis Segond) “All things were made by her, and nothing that was made was made without her”.
Indeed, everything was created by the Word of God. All things exist by It. It is the foundation and the essence of all that exists. As long as this whole universe exists, the Word of God will remain. No matter what era we are in, no matter it will be collectively or socially accepted or not, that in no way taints the foundation of this world. And that’s the reason this world is drifting: because we’ve denied its foundation of it.
Isaiah 40:8 (Louis Segond) “The grass withers and the flower falls; but the Word of our God endures forever.”
Here is a wonderful description of how time does not affect the Word of God. The flower falls off one day, and the grass can dry out over time. But that is not the case with the Word of God. It is not subject to time and eras, and it endures forever. We are tempted to tell ourselves that times have changed and that we must try to let go of certain biblical principles. But let us remember that we are in the world, but not of the world. We have a different reference system, and it is the Word of God. Isn’t it reassuring to be able to build your life on a foundation that doesn’t change?
Decide to build your life on the Word of God.
Psalms 119: 11 (Louis Segond): “I keep Your word in my heart, so that I do not sin against You”
If you expect to be encouraged by the world to follow God’s precepts, you will be disappointed because that will not be the case, but rather the opposite. You will have to decide to build your life on the Word of God and hold it very tightly in your heart. Therefore, you must already begin to meditate on it daily, assiduously and resolutely, to possess it and know God’s will. Above all, be open and willing so that the Word of God does its work already in you. She is a light that will illuminate your entire being. Don’t be surprised if it reveals points on which you need to correct yourself. Let it take root in you and become the foundation of your life.
Romans 12:2 (American King James Version “Do not conform to the present world, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, which is good, pleasant and perfect”.
We are invited not to conform to the present century. Nor does it mean living as if we were in the time of Jesus. But we are called to discernment. God’s Holy Spirit is there with us to help us discern what God’s perfect will is about when circumstances seem very confusing. We must not stop at the intelligence that we have and that we use in everyday life, but we are invited to the renewal of our intelligence, which is done by the Holy Spirit, relying on the Word of God.
Luke 6:48 (Louis Segond): “He is like a man who, building a house, dug, dug deep, and laid the foundation on the rock. A flood came, and the torrent rushed against this house without being able to shake it because it was well built.
Resolve to build your life well today. Build it on the unchanging Word of God. Strong winds come against the world. But if your life has been built on the Word of God, it won’t be shaken. You will then be able to stand without fear before the throne of God, and He will be able to say: Good and faithful servant. Return to the joy of your master!
God does not make us wait in vain!
We have all probably experienced the expectation of an answer to a prayer that has dragged on for a long time. While the need seems very pressing for us, we notice rather that God does not seem to hurry to answer our prayer. This can be very frustrating and cause us to doubt God’s love and goodness. But what is it in reality?
Even the creation of the heavens and the earth took time.
Genesis 2: 2 (Louis Segond) “God finished on the Seventh day His work which He had made: and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made”.
Have you ever wondered why God didn’t create the world all at once, in a day and with just one word? God is the Almighty, and nothing is impossible for Him. Yet He took the time day by day to create the different components of the world He had planned. He took the time to separate or put things together. And at the end of each day, He found what He had done was good. Each step, therefore, had importance for Him. He didn’t expect to appreciate all the finished work, but He appreciated what He was doing every day. And you, do you enjoy the course? Can you rejoice every day when you don’t yet see the complete work of God in your life?

Time is not your enemy.
Ecclesiastes 3: 1 (Louis Segond) “There is a time for everything, a time for everything under heaven”.
James 1: 4 (Louis Segond) “But patience must accomplish its work perfectly, so that you may be perfect and complete, without failing in anything”.
Throughout the Bible, we notice that God always has an appointed time, an auspicious time when He does His things perfectly. The wait may be relatively long or very long, but God always does what He promises. This is why you need to know if what you expect from God is a promise that He made in His word or that He made to you personally. For if you are in either of these two cases, rest assured that He will certainly accomplish what He has promised you, whatever the weather. And it is in these cases, when we place ourselves in God’s plan, that we can be reassured that time is not an enemy for us but rather an ally. God uses it to plan our response carefully.
Waiting times are often times of formation where God is working a lot inside of us while we feel that He is doing nothing. He prepares us, and He transforms us. He teaches us to no longer be under the influence of the burning desire for the realization of our prayer. And He turns our eyes to Him, who must be our first desire. He teaches us to be satisfied with Him so that the thing so much sought after does not become, when we obtain it, an idol for us. Abraham, who waited twenty-five years to have Isaac, the child promised by God for him, and Sarah did not struggle with God when He asked him for this same son again as a sacrifice. He believed in God so much that he thought He was able even to resurrect his son (Hebrews 11:19).
During these twenty-five years, people around Abraham have had children. People who surely didn’t worship God and who hadn’t given up everything to follow an invisible God as Abraham did. This is how we often see people around us, Christians and even pagans, obtaining what we seek with so much ardour without any apparent difficulty. Is God unjust? Nope! But God’s plan doesn’t stop with you. God loves everyone. The Bible said He makes His sun rise on the good and the wicked. And God has an individual plan for every person on this earth. Do not sink into an unhealthy comparison. But take these occasions to praise and celebrate the Lord. These are proofs that God is still working, and He will work for you too. Let God use these experiences, through the time He makes you wait, to transform you, strengthen you and make you unshakable. God does everything for a purpose, and He doesn’t make you wait for anything but to make you perfect, failing nothing.
Nothing is impossible with God.
I have seen God work in situations that I considered complicated in other people’s lives and on several occasions. For me, God was trying to tell me, through these experiences, that He is indeed the Almighty and that if He was able to act in these situations that I considered more complicated than mine, it is therefore not impossible for Him to act in my situation. Do you believe in God? Do you believe He’s the Almighty? So believe that this omnipotence is also available to you. And it is already at work in other areas of your life. Don’t mistake focusing only on this pending prayer topic, forgetting all the blessings that God is already showering you within other areas.
Above all, believe in God’s love for you. God loves you. Hallelujah!!! God loves you! And he who loves does not want the misfortune of the loved one. But he does everything for the good of the loved one. So believe that all things work together for your good (Romans 8:28).
Do not fall into the hustle and bustle. Stay at rest. Remain in peace. Continually give thanks to God for all He has done, is doing and will do for you. God is fulfilling your request, and He is creating your testimony. He takes the time to arrange everything in its place carefully. And in the end, you won’t have enough tongues to thank you to Him. You will look back and be so grateful to Him, not just for the answered prayer, but for the person He made you. Amen!
