Spread the love

The believer in God must be armoured with the spiritual armor that the Book of Ephesians 6:10 speaks of, and be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power, to stand firm against the snares of the enemy.

It is for this reason that all believers in God must understand that there is a spiritual war against satan, who seeks to destroy the believer.

Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power – Ephesians 6:10

The indication made by the apostle Paul at the beginning of chapter 6 of the book of Ephesians effectively indicates how such a valuable armor.

That armor must be placed before a soldier who has sufficient strength and power, in order to have the ability to use it. That is why before that he makes the following indication:

“Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might” (Ephesians 6:10)

This makes it clear that in order to send a soldier to war in the earthly realm, he must be armored.

It is being able to have that physical and personal capacity that will help you win this battle, a situation that is repeated in the spiritual realm.

Shield yourself with the Armor of God

In this sense, God wants to give victory to his children and it is, therefore, necessary to be strengthened in Him, and this implies humiliating oneself before his presence as the word says:

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time” (1 Peter 5:6).

It is to understand that God is the one who has the absolute power in your life, to recognize those weaknesses that you have as a person, and through Him, it is that you will be able to have victory since by His grace and love He will perfect you to win.

Strengthen in the Lord

“And he told me: My grace is enough for you; because my power is perfected in weakness. So, I will gladly rather glory in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Therefore, for the love of Christ, I rejoice in weaknesses, in insults, in needs, in persecutions, in anguish; because when I am weak, then I am strong” (2nd Corinthians 12:9-10)

With these words, the apostle Paul is indicating that as children of God you have to be aware that He is the source of all power.

Besides that God is the one who can strengthen lives, that is why his indication is “Strengthen yourselves in the Lord”.

That is why you must go before his presence and receive that protection that can be obtained through his powerful presence.

There is no enemy that can cross the wall that God places before his protégés.

“But you, Jehovah, are a shield around me; My glory and he who lifts up my head” (Psalms 3:3)

Be protected by God

This protection can be seen when King David used it when fighting Goliath, as he did not put on King Saul’s armor.

David stood up with faith in God, whom he had as that shield and his source of power, to be able to knock down and defeat the uncircumcised.

David added: The LORD, who has delivered me from the paws of the lion and from the paws of the bear, will also deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.

And Saul said to David: Go, and the Lord be with you… Then David said to the Philistine: You come to me with sword and spear and javelin;

but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have provoked.

Jehovah will deliver you today into my hand, and I will defeat you, and I will cut off your head, and today I will give the carcasses of the Philistines to the birds of the sky and to the beasts of the earth;

and all the earth will know that there is a God in Israel. And all this congregation will know that Jehovah does not save with sword and spear;

for the battle belongs to the Lord, and he will deliver you into our hands” (1 Samuel 17:37-47)

Victory in Jesus

With this example, you can see how victory lies in the power that comes directly from God, and that has been deposited in those who have faith in Him.

In order to give all the glory and honour to his name, in the same way, that King David did because with his forces he would never have defeated the giant Goliath.

This means that before using the armor of God you have to decide to strengthen yourself directly before the Lord.

Demonstrating that it will become that wall that will protect him from all kinds of snares and war that satan wants to make him.

Given this first indication given by the apostle Paul, it must be understood that being strengthened in the Lord is stripping yourself of all the things that distance you from his presence.

It is being able to accept that God has absolute control of your life, getting rid of all the sins that may be stalking you and entering the war, and being clothed with that power that comes from heaven.

Receive God’s Force Power

In this biblical quote, another indication is given and it is to be strengthened “in the power of his might”, it is a direct invitation to use the power of God in the life of the person.

That way you will be able to be strong and vigorous in the face of the Spiritual Warfare that you face daily.

Each child of God who seeks him in Spirit and in Truth will be able to have that power and strength that comes from heaven, allowing him to be alert to the works of the enemy.

Overcome with the Power of God

To overcome everything that stands in his way, God will use all those humble and brokenhearted.

On the other hand, it should be noted that when Jesus rose he used that same power of his strength.

Referring that He grants it to be able to keep all his children firm in the face of spiritual warfare, and be raised with that strength to win.

“And what is the surpassing greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the operation of the power of his might,  which he wrought in Christ, raising him from the dead and seating him at his right hand in heavenly places, above all principality and authority and power and lordship, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the age to come” (Ephesians 1:19-21).

Jesus leads him to victory

In this sense, being strengthened in the power of God’s strength will ensure a victory, since it is the same one that raised Jesus Christ on the third day.

And it is the same power that today leads him to be at the right hand of the Father, being the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, but all this is obtained when he maintains a constant communion with God.

That is why, given the circumstances in which he has to live, he must seek the presence of God, and recognize him in all his ways.

By having him by his side, he will be able to be clothed with that power and live victory after victory, since Jesus stripped him of all the demons that were stalking them.

“And having spoiled the principalities and powers, he made a public show of them, triumphing over them on the cross” (Colossians 2:15)

To conclude, it can be said that in the book of Ephesians chapter 6 a call is made for all believers to be strengthened in the power of God.

Thanks to this, you can face the spiritual forces of evil and be able to win this battle, because the source of victory comes from heaven.

At present, a world full of evil prevails where each situation must be overcome with the spiritual weapons that God has arranged for his children.

And that is why they are granted when they seek him with their hearts by exercising faith, fasting, prayer and meditation on the Holy Scriptures, to be covered by the wall of his divine protection.
