The book of Ephesians 2:1-10, Dead in Crimes and Sins is a statement that speaks of the condition that the human being had before receiving the salvation given by Jesus, here, where Paul makes a description of what happened with the man receiving Jesus into his life.
This statement comes to detail how man is without God and without his forgiveness he was lost and is raised, basically, he is resurrected by the love and grace of the Heavenly Father, who through the plan of salvation carried out by Jesus in the sacrifice on the cross he came to restore all things in the human being.
Dead in Offenses and Sins Ephesians 2:1-10
One of the things that can be said is that humanity alone does not have the capacity to develop a society that is clean.
It cannot be pure, fair, and give people freedom since the product of its laws has not led them to have the best lifestyle.
It is for this reason that the Holy Scriptures teach that through Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross he brought freedom to souls that were captive to sin.
For through their wrong deeds they were doomed to an eternity in the fire that never ends.
It is for this reason that in the book of Ephesians Paul reflects on the grace of God and how the human being passes from death in crimes and sins.
And he placed all humanity that repents in those heavenly places with Christ Jesus as the following biblical quote says:
Heavenly Places

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Human condition
Through this biblical quote, the apostle Paul makes a description of the human condition that was separated from God.
Developing the same conclusion reached in the book of Romans where he says that everyone is guilty before the Lord for each of their bad actions and sins.

What is the condition of man without God?

They were dead in trespasses and sins
And when speaking of death, as this text says, it is “Separation from God”, and the cause of death is due to the crimes and sins committed.
Which has the following meaning: a crime is to cross the limit of something that has been established, deviating from the correct path.
Sin is missing the mark, and joining both words shows the rebellion and spiritual failure of human life.
“Having the understanding darkened, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart” (Ephesians 4:18).
Spiritual Death
All this refers to the fact that the life of people without God has a spiritual death, it is not in their body, nor in their mind, nor in their personality, but in the Spirit.
As the book of Isaiah chapter 59 says that as a result of sin they have made the division between God and the human being.
“Your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear” (Isaiah 59:2).
Sin Enslaved Mankind
The Bible speaks that the person who sins was walking in his crimes and sins.
This describes that it is a behavior, a lifestyle to which the human being got used to carrying that chain of oppression.
Seeing the biblical quote, it explains that everyone who is in sin follows the current of this world that is dominated by the prince of the power of the air, that is, Satan.
He is the one who causes carnal desires to arise in the life of the person, and without realizing it, they allow themselves to be influenced in a sinful life that leads them to eternal death for being disobedient to God.

The man was doomed
This biblical quote from the apostle Paul emphasizes that man was condemned since the textual words say “we were by nature children of wrath” (Ephesians 2:3).
That means children of disobedience, those who had rejected God and received the wrath of the Heavenly Father.
This is referring to man following the ways of sin, dishonoring the name of God seeking to please his desires and pleasures.
They were bringing their lives to a painful end, as they had eternal damnation in hell.
The Grace of God comes to Man
When Paul talks about the condemnation that man had through sin, he makes a contrast with the arrival of God’s grace in receiving the forgiveness of sins and receiving the resurrection with Christ Jesus.
“We were dead… and he has raised us with Christ. We were slaves… and he has seated us with Christ in heavenly places.”
Paul makes a convincing affirmation regarding the love of God that by the grace and love of God all have been able to be saved, and makes an enumeration of what are the profits obtained by the sacrifice of Christ:
“Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” (Ephesians 2:5-6)
The Power of God
In this sense, the apostle Paul describes how God resurrected, raised, and seated each of the human beings next to Christ, the Savior.
It is being able to understand that these benefits are only received by uniting with Christ Jesus and allowing those benefits that the Heavenly Father gives to all those who repent.
Those benefits that people who repent of their bad steps receive will be able to see tangible love, grace, kindness, and mercy.
Which are characteristics of the Almighty, because being dead in crimes and sins they are not able to see those virtues that the Heavenly Father has and their faith in Him is activated by seeing that unmerited favor given out of love for their children.
“That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:7)
Finally, it can be said that God’s love fills people’s lives in a special way.
And every day you will clearly see that goodness with which the apostle Paul describes his love and mercy in this biblical quote.
Well, it shows that after the condemnation, salvation came to raise up all mankind.
