Spread the love

It is very sad to have to say goodbye to someone we love due to their physical death. That much-appreciated person will no longer be by our side to be able to talk, laugh and share important moments with us. In such times, we can seek help from the bible.

We all go through times of grief and sadness. It is not bad nor is it a sin to feel sad and cry. Jesus also wept when told that Lazarus, one of his friends, had died (John 11:35). It is important and necessary to express what we feel in moments of sadness.

However, we must not allow sadness and mourning to take over our lives. If we give him the opportunity, God will dry our tears, comfort our hearts and put a smile back on our lips.

Here you will find a list of verses that will help you express what you feel and receive words of comfort during the time of mourning.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, merciful Father and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulations so that, with the same comfort that we have received from God, we too can comfort all who suffer.
(2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
