Why should we Pray Until Something Happens?
In prayer, we’re so quick to give up. We quit praying because of our emotions and circumstances. We must, however, PUSH, Until Something Happens, Pray: (Sometimes The Process Hurts)
My goal is to encourage you to keep praying no matter how bad your circumstance seems to be. I highly recommend reading the two stories below, which remind us to pray and never give up.
Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Unanswered prayers are incredibly discouraging if we’re being honest with ourselves. Unanswered prayers can lead to tiredness and despair if we aren’t attentive. If we’re not careful, we’ll say, “It just doesn’t work.” If you’ve been frustrated by the lack of response to your prayers, I urge you to persevere! You will see the magnificent results of your prayers one day. I understand how difficult it is. In extreme cases, it can take two days, two months, or even two years. We must, however, adopt a mindset that says, “I will not let go until You bless me.”
Is it worth dying for what you’re praying for? It is preferable to die than to give up in prayer. There have been times in my life when God has taken three years to respond to my prayers. Consider what would have happened if I had given up in prayer. I wouldn’t have been able to see God answer my prayers if that had happened. By fulfilling my prayers, I saw God gain glory for Himself. The more complicated the challenge, the more lovely the triumph. As I indicated in my piece about trusting God. This website was created via prayer and faith in the Lord’s provision. Years of prayer and weeping went into the Lord, allowing me to go full-time in the ministry. It was a long and challenging process, but it was well worth it.
Philippians 2:13 “For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.”
In the process, God taught me a lot. Many things would have been lost on me if I hadn’t gone through the process of praying. God not only taught me a lot, but He also helped me mature in many ways. Remember that while you’re praying, God is also moulding you to the image of Christ. God doesn’t always quickly change our circumstances, but He does transform us.

Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
Praying for God’s will to be done provides us with the strength to keep on in prayer. Our joy comes from God’s glory, and when our minds are set on Him receiving glory for Himself, we won’t want to stop praying. I’m not claiming that there is never any sin involved when praying for God’s glory. Our goals and intentions are a source of conflict for us. We fight with avaricious and egotistical aspirations. However, we should have a spiritual desire to see God’s name honoured, and when we do, we are driven to continue praying.
Romans 12:12 “Rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer.”
We are called to persevere in prayer. I’ll be honest, and persevering is hard at times. I hate to wait. The process can be so draining, and you feel as if you are on a roller coaster. With that said, while persevering can be challenging, we are not only called to persevere. We are also to rejoice in hope and be devoted to prayer. When we are doing these things, persevering becomes easier.
There is joy when our joy comes from Christ and not our situation. No matter what difficult situation you are in, greater glory awaits you. We must never lose sight of our hope for future things that the Lord has promised us. This helps us to be joyful in our trials. The more that you pray, the easier that it becomes. We should make prayer our daily exercise. Sometimes it hurts so much that words just can’t come out. The Lord understands you, and He knows how to comfort you.
Sometimes the best thing to do is to be still before the Lord focusing on Him and allowing your heart to speak. He sees the tears of your heart. Don’t think that your prayers are going unnoticed. He knows He sees, understands, and works even if you can’t see it. Continue to praise the Lord. Get before Him every day and pray until something happens. Don’t give up. Whatever it takes!
The Parable of the Friend at Night
Luke 11:5-8 “Then Jesus said to them, “Suppose you have a friend, and you go to him at midnight and say, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread; 6 a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have no food to offer him.’ 7 And suppose the one inside answers, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is already locked, and my children and I are in bed. I can’t get up and give you anything.’ 8 I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity, he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.”
The Parable of the Persistent Widow
Luke 18:1-8 “Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ 4 “For some time, he refused. But finally, he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, 5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice so that she won’t eventually come and attack me! 6 And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice quickly. However, will he find faith on the earth?”
