Spread the love

Here is a selection of powerful Healing scriptures for the mind/heart, Thought and soul for the broken.

God is the specialist in taking things that are damaged and restoring them, that is why God heals the Wounds of the Heart because his power comes to show the divine essence to all those who are suffering from difficult situations.

In the Bible when we talk about the heart, it does not refer to the muscle that pumps blood to the whole body but rather refers to where the attitudes, emotions and intelligence of a person are based.

The heart

It is for this reason that the heart of man is exposed to a diversity of experiences, and personal experiences that can be good or bad, and come to leave a mark on their hearts. And for that, they will have the memory or mark.

“The good man, from the good treasure of his heart, brings out the good; and the bad man out of the evil treasure of his heart, he brings forth evil; for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45)

The heart is the place of everything that man is, this becomes the place where good or bad things are found and especially the words that come out of his mouth.

And it is there where God acts because He wants lives to be healed in every way.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3)

God heals the Wounds of the Heart

When speaking of a heart with wounds, one should investigate a little what it means to be wounded, which is the Hebrew word “naká” which has the meaning of beaten, ruined, destroyed, defeated, or looted.

That means that there are ways to wound a heart like through the mouth “there are words that are like blows of a sword” (Proverbs 12:18)

“My heart is wounded, and dry as grass, Therefore I forget to eat my bread.

Because of the voice of my groaning, my bones have cleaved to my flesh” (Psalms 102:4-5).

When this verse speaks that he is dry, it refers to the fact that the Presence of God does not flow in his heart like rivers of living water.

That is why his life is empty and he needs the intervention of God that heals the wounds of his heart.

In this sense, the term dry in Hebrew is the word “yabesh” which refers to being ashamed, disappointed, and withered.

For what is indicated in having shame, which produces isolation, considering oneself unworthy of the great blessings and presence of God.

“For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me” (Psalm 109:22)

When a person feels dry, his body weakens, and diseases come.

And as the verse says about being afflicted, that translates to being depressed, which indicates the wounds of the heart that have not been healed by God.

In that sense, when talking about the term needy, it comes from the Hebrew word “ebión” which translates into indigent, beggar, that is, a person who has monetary deficiencies.

And in the spiritual aspect, it refers to that person because of their wounds in the heart, they have an atmosphere where scarcity and lack surround them.

How to Receive God’s healing to the wounded heart

God heals the wounds of the heart, of all those who are broken, when they are willing to be healed by Him, following these steps:

  • Seek God with all your heart, He knows what you are suffering, kneel before His presence with great faith, and just wait on Him.
  • In prayer give God the wounds of your heart, and what caused your pain such as abandonment, loneliness, guilt, bitterness, hatred, resentment, revenge, or shame, ask the Holy Spirit to bring to memory everything you feel, do not shut it up so that God can bring healing to the wounds of the heart.
  • You must receive Jesus in your heart which is the way to God, since through his work on the cross and receive the opportunity to be forgiven all your sins and give you life in abundance.
  • You must acknowledge your sins, and receive God’s forgiveness for each of them.
  • You have to forgive from the heart and release the feeling of pain to the wounds that your heart has.

the process to heal wounds

The process in which God heals the wounds of the heart is to change their lifestyle and be able to know the calling they have on earth, which is to have blessings until they overflow.

“A new heart will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you, And I will take away the heart of stone out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh” (Ezekiel 36:26).

After having that complete repentance, God can work on those heart wounds, because the recognition of sins is the promise that God gives in the Bible.

“So repent and be converted, so that your sins may be blotted out; that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:9).

The recognition of Jesus in the lives of people is the best choice for everyone who feels overwhelmed because in this way God can heal the wounds in the heart of the one who is hurt.

  • “Come to me, all you who labour and are heavily laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28)
  • “…and I will turn their weeping into joy, and I will comfort them, and make them glad of their sorrow” (Jeremiah 31:13)

God heals the wounded heart because it is the promise that he has given to his creation, so it is imperative that every day they prostrate before Him and present all their afflictions, in order to obtain the healing and liberation that God grants.

“God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death, nor will there be more crying, clamour, or pain; for the first things are past” (Revelation 21:4)
