And the sage said: Proverbs 4: 7 “ Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. “ If wisdom in God is especially important at the point where Solomon, the wisest man of all time, asked us to do everything to become wise ”, how can you acquire it? But first of all, what is wisdom?
Wisdom according to God.
Proverbs 9:10 (KJV) “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the science of the saints is intelligence. “
The wisdom of God is different from that of the world. To be wise is first of all to fear God. The world defines wisdom as being slow in words, having good advice during disputes… But, for God, one begins to be wise when one fears the Lord. 6 steps to acquire wisdom from above:
1. Trust in the Lord fully
Proverbs 3: 5 (KJV ) “ Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. “ We can not put water in a cup that is already full. He who relies on his wisdom cannot acquire the wisdom of God. Let us remember that God resists the proud, but He gives grace to the humble ( 1 Peter 5: 5 KJV ). 5. Declare by faith that you have acquired wisdom from above.
